Agenda for Thursday, 27 Dec 2007 BGCM-WIKI Mtg
- Admin Web afd
- PDF Files afd
- Authentication For Guests afd
Right now you have to register to make changes to a topic, even to add a comment to a topic. Do we want that tight a control at this point. At a minimum, I would like to open up comments to guests who do not need to register. afd
- Authentication For Guests ard
I am against anonymous changes because there should always be an audit trail just to keep people on their good behavior. I am pretty sure that same principle is the basis for "God" and/or "Big Brother."

We need to decide who wants to get mail from the WIKI. afd
We need to know if a group can get the mail. Probably need to talk to Rob.

Testing mail subscriptions - JLC
- Add BGCM Logo or blacksmith related logo afd
easy enough to attach an image file and then use "properties" to figure out the location of the file so it can be referenced with an "img" command but...where should our stockpile our reuseable images be located and how do we get them there?

Should we create a template so each page will be consistent? Should we add table of contents to the pages?
I would like to have a standard template for book reviews. Maybe a table with the standard fields: title, author Publisher date, etc. Now that I saw how you made a table in the SANDBOX I may experiment. Also, a template for the steel pages might be useful. afd
I like the idea of a table of contents. The index will get unwieldly pretty quick. afd
I am quite concerned that I understand exactly how the "twiki" "main" "BlacksmithInfo" web locations differ.
I don't want us to spend a lot of time on a structure that does give us the flexibility that will be needed IF the wiki takes off.

- Why don't we make a goal of creating one page?
We could all agree on 1 topic ahead of time, research it, bring our research Thursday, and work on laying out the page for it start to finish Thursday evening. It might be a decent exercise and would help us with the layout....

Not sure if I follow what you mean here. Could you elucidate further and maybe give an example. afd
we could pick a topic "anvils" and try to create a page on anvils. It would give us something to experiment with - layouts, etc.
