Files should not be stored such that they are touching each other. they will last a lot longer if they are stored in individual protective cases. Can be as simple as wraping in a rag or cardboard. Albin Drzewianowski
No, I don't think heat treatment comes to play here. Files should be stored so that the teeth don't rub on each other and thus dull themselves uneccessarily. Worst thing is to throw them in a box or drawer, one on top of the other. -- AlbinDrzewianowski - 24 Jan 2008
