Rope Twist

This is a very simple twist, but gives an elegant result.
Starting with square bar

* Step 1: Groove 4 sides:

• Step 2: Round the 4 corners:
  

* Step 3: Twist:

A loose twist will give you a different look compared to a tight twist.

Also, for “variations on a theme”, try rounding only 2 opposite corners instead of all 4.

• Variation #1: Round only 2 opposite corners:
  

Or only groove 2 opposite sides instead of all 4. Each variant will give the twist a slightly different look.
